Paul’s Lonely Walk

By: Ernest J. Kolenda [1904 - 2006]

Does GOD expect us to live as they did in Bible days? No but He does expect us to follow the same doctrines. Any person who does not preach or teach doctrine to you , is not teaching the Bible. They are feeding you  psychology.

Paul knew the great position of the sons of GOD in the Celestial. Yet, he could
not talk about it to just anyone. He had so much to say about this wonderful
Melchisedec High Priestly position that is offered to mankind, yet so few could understand it. We will quote Paul’s words from [Hebrews 5:10]

“Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing you are dull of hearing.”

The broadway is crowded with blind and deaf people who cannot be taught. They already know all there is to know about the Word of GOD. There are many who were once in the truth and turned away for the sake of popular opinion. To make a few dollars and a little fame they threw away their eternal life. The price for the Narrow Way was far too high. “few there be that find it”.  It is a lonely narrow  road. You encounter only a few on it.

Even in our everyday life you will see some of the more famous writers or hear about them. Did you ever consider that all the great writers whether they be writers of the Bible or of the world’s writings are the loneliest people on earth? I know this from first hand experience. You cannot write in a crowd.

You can take notes in a crowd but you cannot get your own words on paper for others to read in a crowd. All alone just you, the Bible and your paper.

Another lonely group is the missionaries. Why don’t we know about them?
We did not take the time to find out. Self centeredness is deadly to the spirit of the church.

The attitude is this, “they chose that life and if they did not want it then
let them do something else.” I am here today to tell you that in their being
there burns a love of the LORD of Glory that if you cannot or have not experienced it then please pray for this love to come to you.

Then and only then will you know the meaning of “lay up your treasures in
Heaven.” If you are preaching or teaching and the love of the truth does not burn in your belly then you are in the WRONG PLACE!

It is imperative that we hold fast the Sound Doctrines set forth in the Bible.

How Much Truth Does it Take to go to Heaven?

No Two Snowflakes Alike

We are all different. GOD never created any two of us alike. Identical twins are completely different. No two snowflakes are alike. Just think every rain drop and every tear is different from the other rain drops and tears. GOD does not need an assembly line
He only creates individuals all different. The seeds that we come from are all different even our DNA.

In Isaiah 44:6   JEHOVAH ELOHIM, The Heavenly Father, had this to say about Himself.

Thus sayeth the LORD the King of Israel and his redeemer the LORD of Host. I am the first and I am the last.

We to can say this about ourself. We are each one the first and the last. There maybe some that look  like us but the differences would soon arise. There are people that can’t get along because one or both can’t understand  why the other does not want  to do everything the same way.

Yes it is true when you hear that you are one of a kind. You really are. Love yourself and take care of you  because you will always be you even  if you have a new body you will still be you.

Hope you enjoyed this blog and give us a comment and tell us how you see this.

A Slave to Time

Time shall be no more. Mankind is a slave to time..

Time holds us to the constraints of mankind and causes us to be slaves to its regulations. Did you ever wonder what you would do if there were no deadlines and no hurry “ Time is Running Out” statements.

I remember Brother Kolenda telling of the time Christ Jesus took him into heaven. As they traveled  between the speed of light and the speed of thought. Think about it! There is speed beyond what we do and what we think. You will never move as fast running physically as you will run in thought.

The speed of light is called lightening fast.

The speed of thought is much faster than the speed of light.  Have you ever heard the saying, “He is as fast as greased lightening?” Well the speed of thought is even faster than that. That would remove the time factor. It is like our daydreams where there is no time and you look up and one hour has disappeared. Yes being mentally engaged seems to make time fly.

According to what I have heard lately the brain does not know the difference between fantasy and reality. If you tell the brain you are in New York it will believe you. The brain also does not include the words don’t, not and other words like this. So if you say I don’t want to eat chocolate the brain does not hear the don’t and guess what you will do. Thoughts are a powerful thing but we still can’t travel physically by the speed of thought. On earth we are still a slave to time among many other things that bind us.

The Ministry of the Laying on of Hands

By: Ernest J. Kolenda  [August 30, 1904 -- October 27, 2006]

{I hope you all enjoy this writing by E.J. Kolenda.]

What is so important about your hands? Why did Paul the Apostle speak of the Doctrine of the Laying on of Hands?

Did you know that when GOD was ready to bring the children of Israel out of Egypt, that He did it with His Hand? Yes, our Heavenly Father does have hands. [Exodus 13:3] “And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place…”

Did you know that all through Israel’s walk in the wilderness Moses was always using his hands to minister to the people?

When they fought with the Amalekites, Israel won because Moses held up his hands.

When they came to the Red Sea, it was by the outstretching of the hands of Moses that the Sea

Parted. [Exodus 14:16,21]

On the day of Atonement when they would send the scapegoat into the wilderness, Aaron first had to lay his hand upon it and, by this means; the sins of Israel were placed on the head of the goat.

Later, when Moses appointed Joshua as the leader of the people, we find that he was full of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands upon him.

We find Paul laying his hands upon the heads of John the Baptist’s disciples in [Acts 19:6] “And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues and prophesied.” .

In [1 Timothy 4:14] we find that Timothy is admonished to “not neglect the gift that is in him

by the Laying on of the Hands of the Presbytery.”

In [2 Timothy 1:6] Timothy is again put in remembrance of the gift {ability} that was in him

by the putting on of the Hands of Paul.

These are just some of the laying on of hands in the Scriptures. Usually it is in connection with some kind of deliverance, spiritual, natural or healing.

[Romans 1:20] says: That the things of the Spirit are both known and understood by the things that are seen.”[1 Corinthians 4:18]

“Now the things that are seen are temporal, but the things that are not seen are eternal.” Let us

look at our hands in the natural. Why are your hands so important?

It is your hands that minister continually to the rest of the body. If your face is dirty, it is

your hands that wash it and make it clean. If you are hungry, it is your hands that feed you. If you hurt yourself, it is your hands that minister to your needs. If you have work to do; it is your

hands that do it.

Even people who have lost their hands find ways to compensate for them. I have heard of those who use their mouth or toes to write and do all kinds of wonders. Even this is still a replacement of the job of the hands.

I know that every part of the body is important. This article is concerning the ministry of the laying on of hands.

If the church is to be strong, it must use the hands to minister, just as our hands minister to our physical bodies. That is why Paul spoke of the Doctrine of Laying on of Hands. When the Bible speaks of the laying on of hands, it means just that. This is not a symbol but a reality.

A Point of Contact

I wish to call your attention to the fact that John the Baptist’s disciples received something when Paul laid his hands upon them.

Joshua received something when Moses laid his hands on him. Timothy received something when hands were laid on him.

Why is this? It is because the hands provide a point of contact through which the Spirit of GOD

can work through us..

It is not the person’s ability that does it, but the ability of the Holy Spirit working through us. That is why Jesus laid His Hands on the people and healed them. It was the Spirit of the Father working through Him, for CHRIST JESUS Said, “I of myself can do nothing.”

“[John 14:10; 5:19]

Yes CHRIST JESUS laid His hands on the people in the Bible, also.

In [Isaiah 10:27] we read that, “the yoke is broken because of the anointing.” This should not seem strange to us, for we are but earthen vessels through which the Spirit operates.

[2 Corinthians 4:7]

It is not the flesh that I am speaking of, but the inner Spiritual man. [Ephesians 3:11] But what we know of the inner spiritual man is what we learn from the outer or physical man.

.How much truth does it take to go to heaven?

May GOD Richly and Abundantly Bless You All,

Stable in All Our Ways

I am very thankful to know that there are those that follow the teaching so closely  that when you put the wrong number down on a verse they ask in an email if you actually meant to use that verse.

One man that does not want his name used asked if I had the right verse.  I had started to write on the subject of stabilityand had not mentioned this at all. The LORD works in mysterious ways. This is something that we all wonder about at times.

Am I stable in all the ways of truth? Being human we are all at times unstable even if we can’t admit it. Anyhow we have many verses and many chapterso on this subject. I hope to finish that post in the next few days.

In this post I just wanted to thank the ones that emailed and seemed to know me so well. I also thank those that commented and will get to those questions on another post. This one is just for thank you and to correct myself.

The Verse should have been [Isaiah 33:6 six]. I am so sorry for the mistake and again thank you to the ones that knew I had put the wrong verse in.

In [1 Corinthians Chapter 2] we find that even Paul the Apostle went before the people with fear and trembling. It is so important what we say and do for the gospel.  Yes it applies today just as it did thousands of years ago. That did not change.

How many today are in fear [respect] and trembling where the Word of GOD is concerned?

Now it is time to get the teaching of 2009 going. Thank you all for reading and whether you comment in public, private or just read the post I  thank you.

I pray for all of you a happy new year 2009. I hear it will be better in many ways.  A verse from Laura [Isaiah 33:8] :[1st Corinthins  Chapter 2. ] Enjoy the inspiration.

GRACE AND MERCY

The LORD and Christ Jesus bless us with Grace and Mercy. Grace is the time period given to us to receive salvation and Mercy is the gift of salvation. How blessed we are to have both Grace and Mercy.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and grace to help in time of need. [Hebrews 4:15]

Paul spoke to Timothy saying in [1Timothy 1:2,3] unto Timothy my own son in The Faith [Doctrine]. Grace, Mercy, and Peace from GOD our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

Verse 3: As I besought three to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine.

[1 Timothy 1:14] And the Grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.

How wonderful the blessing we have received.

I had family this week as well as about six hours on the phone. I enjoyed this so much. I learned so much and also hope they did also. We looked for books and writings all over the house including the attic. Thank you my wonderful family for the great visit and study.

I am also going to Michigan so pray for us that we will have great Bible studies and get the words to put on these pages for all of us. Also we want to get material for many newsletters. Grace and Mercy from Christ Jesus for all of us..

UNLEARNING OLD ERRORS

SHARING GOOD NEWS

The bad news swirling around us is very depressing. I have been searching for good news. There did not seem to be any good news.

Wait a minute!  I found good news! It is within me. The blessings when I begin to add them are so many.  Just today I received a huge blessing.

This is another blessing I received while reading and found these instructions from Paul the Apostle [Philippians 4: 4-8]. It felt like an old friend just when I needed it most.

This was also one of Brother Kolenda’s favorites. He gave me a framed needlework of [Verse 8] and it hangs on the bedroom wall and every time I go to the closet it is there to read.  I will be reading it more often. It contains modern up to date good news thinking. As we know the gospel means the good news.

In [Philippians Chapter 4: Verses 4, 5, 6, 7, 8] Paul was finishing a letter to the Philippians. He asked prayer for his fellow workmen /women.

[Verse 4] Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

[Verse 5] Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

{Verse 6] Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

[Verse 7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

[Verse 8] Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
[Philippians 4:4-8]

Beautifully written instructions backed up by Paul the Apostle in his recorded actions.

I pray this will bless you today and everyday. May the Lord Jesus Christ’s peace and blessings be with you. Let us rejoice in the LORD always.

Think on these things that are good,

Sylvia Kolenda

Good Manners

[1 Corinthians 15:33] Be not deceived: Evil communications corrupt good manners.

We have all been in these situations where our mouth gets us in trouble. These are verses to hold near and remember.

[James 3:5] Even so the tongue is a little member and boasteth great things. Behold how great  a matter a little fire kindleth

[James 15:11] Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter water?

We can’t do bad work and good works and expect GOD to honor then all. Hold fast do good to all men as unto The LORD.

Yes even nature does not do this.

May GOD Richly Bless you,

Sylvia Kolenda   .
